Trick #1: Use smaller silverware, bowls/plates – Study shows that people who uses smaller spoons and plates tends to eat less than people who uses large ones. And people who uses larger plates and bowls tends to eat more food.
So start using smaller spoons and plates and don’t go for seconds.
Trick #2: Eat at normal speed then eat at a slower speed – Eating at normal then slow speed causes you to have a large reduction in appetite.
How does this cause you to have a large reduction in your appetite? I have no idea but tests shows that it does. Try it out yourself and you’ll see.
Trick #3: Stop having delicious junk food around your house – the more delicious junk food you have around the house, the more you’ll tend to snack on it. The more you snack on it, the more calories you’ll consume and gain weight. So keep junk food out of your house and out of your sight.
Trick #4: Don’t eat when you’re distracted – people who eat when they’re distracted by watching television, movies, or playing games tend to eat more. Study also shows that people who ate popcorn while watching a movie tend to eat more popcorn than people who were just eating popcorn.
So when you eat, make sure you’re not distracted by anything and just enjoy your food.
